I’m a yoga and fitness instructor and triathlon enthusiast. I’ve been a yoga instructor since 2001. I became a yoga instructor while in grad school for Anthropology.  I love teaching something that makes people happy and healthier at the end of the day!

My husband got me on board with running when we started dating in 1999. I was always a reluctant runner- it certainly doesn’t come naturally to me but I just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Then one day on vacation at the beach, I realized that I NEEDED to run. It was a new habit- I needed to move and exercise to feel good and happy.

I completed my first tri after my youngest child was born, and 5 years later, I’m happy to report that I exceeded my own expectations in the half-Ironman distance, 70.3. This year, I intend to stick with Sprint and Olympic distances.

Meanwhile, I also have remade our own nutrition due to a child with multiple food allergies. So my house is mostly vegetarian, with gluten-free, dairy-free, and egg-free options. And I think we eat happy and eat well!
